Financial Aid Refunds

Federal Direct, Federal Direct PLUS and private loans are disbursed directly to your tuition account after all financial aid requirements have been satisfied. If the total loan proceeds are greater than the total account due, we will issue a refund for the excess amount to the student. Credit balances resulting from Title IV funds will be refunded in accordance with federal regulations.

For the Title IV Authorization form, log in to My4D, select Student Resources, Financial Account Management and Title IV Authorization Form.

Refunds will either be transmitted directly to the bank established by the student when setting up a direct deposit transaction or mailed to the Mailing Address established on the student's account. Refunds are generated on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please note students must have a valid active address on file in order for any refund to be processed.

Will I Get a Refund if I Drop a Class?

Students that plan on withdrawing or dropping classes need to familiarize themselves with the University’s drop deadlines. If a student drops a course or withdraws from the University after the published dates, they will still be responsible for tuition. A calendar of University drop deadlines can be found here.

Student’s taking 12-18 credits may not receive a refund after dropping a class if total credits remain within the flat rate.
