Transcripts

If you want to order your transcript now, you’ve come to the right place. A transcript is an official copy of a student's academic record showing the student's academic status at the time it is issued. The official transcript includes the complete academic record of courses taken at the University of Denver. Copies of other schools' transcripts are NOT included.

How to Order Your Official Transcript

Order Transcript Online

  • Ordering By Mail

    You may print our online Transcript Order Form and mail it in, or bring it to the Office of the Registrar. You can mail requests to:

    Transcript Order Forms are also available in our office. Transcripts will not be sent until payment is received. The Office of the Registrar will not be responsible for cash lost in the mail. Make checks or money orders payable to the University of Denver. Please allow 1-2 working days to process transcripts.

    Please note, "Issued to Student" will be stamped on official transcripts sent to the student.

  • Ordering in Person

    You also may print our online Transcript Order Form and mail or bring it to the Office of the Registrar. We are located on the garden level of University Hall. Transcript order forms are also available in our office. We accept cash, money orders and checks.

    Standard processing time is 1-2 working days. Immediate processing (for in-person orders only) can be done while you wait for an additional cost.

    Please note, "Issued to Student" will be stamped on official transcripts issued to the student.

    Unofficial Transcripts

    Unofficial transcripts can be ordered using the Transcript Order Form by either sending the form in via mail or in-person with the associated fee. Students and Alumni can access unofficial transcripts online by logging into My4D, search for Records/Requests, and selecting the link for unofficial transcripts.

Transcript Financial Holds

If you have a financial hold preventing the release of transcripts due to unpaid tuition, room and board, or returned financial aid, that debt must be paid in full. This hold will be removed when your account is fully paid.

You may request us to temporarily lift this hold if your transcript is required for one of the following reasons:

  • The transcript is required for a job application
  • The transcript is required for the military (Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserves)
  • The transcript is required for a financial aid application (federal, state, or institutional)
  • The transcript is required to apply to another college or university
  • The transcript is required to apply for other post-secondary opportunities

To request the hold be lifted, please contact the DU Office of Student Billing at 303-871-4944.

Transcripts for Students Associated With DU

  • Colorado Women’s College/Temple Buell 

    Transcripts from Colorado Women's College/Temple Buell are also available as electronic PDF transcripts, as well as paper transcripts that may be requested by mail or in-person. Please allow 3 business days to process.

  • DU High School

    Beginning June 2007, the University of Denver assumed the transcripts from the DU High School. Students can order their DU High School transcripts by filling out the transcript order form. There is no charge for DU High School transcripts. Please allow 1-2 working days to process.

    If someone else will be picking up your transcript instead of you, must submit the Transcript Pick up Release Form directly to the Office of the Registrar. This form will only be accepted from you personally.

  • Apostille

    An apostille or other certification verifies that the Colorado notary public or public official whose signature appears on a document is in good standing, and has signed properly in accord with the records of the Secretary of State. This is most commonly needed for transcripts that will be used outside the United States.
