Get a New Pioneer ID Card
Students
The Pioneer ID Card is your official identification while at the University of Denver. All DU constituents including students, faculty, staff and are required to carry their ID card while on campus. Access to some campus buildings and facilities are locked and require a Pioneer ID Card to enter.
Incoming Undergraduate, Graduate and Law Students - online submission is mandatory for all students.
Online Photo Submission Deadlines for Fall 2025:
All Undergraduate Students and Non-Law Graduate Students: ID Photo must be submitted by August 16th.
Law Students: ID Photo must be submitted by August 1st.
For residential students moving into a residence hall at the beginning of the quarter, you will receive your ID card upon move in. For all other students, you may pick up your ID at the ID Office in Driscoll South, located at 2050 E. Evans Ave, Denver, CO, 80208.
Please note, a form of photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport is required to pick up your ID card.

Once you have submitted online, your ID will be printed and ready for pick-up upon your arrival to campus. Further details regarding pick-up of your ID Card can be found HERE.
Students may elect to have their ID Card mailed directly to them prior to arrival by contacting the ID Card Office at pcard@du.edu. If you wish to have your ID Card mailed to you, please send an e-mail to pcard@du.edu including the below information.
- Full Name
- Mailing Address
- DU ID Number
- Date of Birth
Online/Distance Learning Students
Please submit your photo online or email us at pcard@du.edu if possible, as these methods are the fastest and easiest way of receiving your card. ID Cards can still be mailed if photos are submitted digitally. Graduate students enrolled in an online or distance learning program may download and print a Pioneer ID Card Request form. Simply complete the form, attach a photo, and mail it in. Please use this form ONLY if you are an online or distance learning student and are currently enrolled. If you submit the form as any other type of student your card will not be mailed, nor will the form and picture be returned to you. Once your paperwork is processed, we will mail your Pioneer ID Card to the current mailing address on your DU records.
Faculty & Staff
All staff and faculty, including non-benefited and adjunct faculty, are entitled to a Pioneer ID Card. New faculty and staff should submit on-line for a new photo ID. Once submitted, please visit our office or contact us by e-mail to make arrangements to pick-up your ID Card.
