Protocol Selection
Through a random selection process, PIs are selected to work one-on-one with the Research Compliance Monitor to perform in-depth reviews of their study and to ensure accurate and consistent protocol performance. A list of all active human subjects research studies is compiled and maintained by the Research Compliance Monitor through IRBNet records and in conjunction with departments campus-wide. Each quarter, approximately 10% of PIs from a selection of departments are randomized into the PAM program. All active human subjects research protocols are included in the randomization process, regardless of their IRB review level (e.g., exempt, expedited, and full board).
If Your Study is Selected for the PAM Program
-
If Selected you will be notified via email by the Research Compliance Monitor that you have been randomly selected to participate in the PAM process and will be asked to set up a time to meet with the Research Compliance Monitor within a two-week period.
-
Re-Selection can occur if the PI is randomized into the PAM program in a subsequent academic quarter.
