International First-Year Applicants
Applying to DU as a first-year student is simple. Along with completing the Common Application, you must submit supporting materials, provide optional test scores, and meet our English Proficiency requirements.
International first-year applicants must submit their application and all supplemental documents by the following deadlines:
- Nov. 1 for Early Decision I and Early Action
- Jan. 15 for Early Decision II and Regular Decision

International Transfer Applicants
We welcome international applicants who have taken or are currently taking any college-level coursework after completing their high school education to apply as a transfer student and finish their degree at DU. Transfer applicants should submit their Common Applications, transcripts, supporting documents, and test scores verifying English proficiency for review.
International transfer applicants must send in their applications and all supplemental documents by the following deadlines:
- Fall Quarter: April 1 priority deadline, June 1 final deadline (late applications are considered on a space-available basis)
- Winter Quarter: Oct. 15
- Spring Quarter: Feb. 1 (limited space; applications are considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Summer Quarter: May 1

Scholarships for International Students
DU considers all international students for merit-based scholarships to provide additional financial support. Although not required, we recommend including your SAT or ACT scores and class rank with your application, which can help you stand out as a highly competitive candidate.
