Creating Community Connections
An essential element of the Staff Senate's mission centers around events that encourage community among staff members and throughout campus. In partnership with Human Resources & Inclusive Community, we also organize and select annual awards presented to staff members who excel in their professional positions.
Staff Awards
The annual Staff Awards are a collaboration between Staff Senate and Human Resources & Inclusive Community.
The awards below are presented at the annual University of Denver Faculty & Staff Awards event, hosted by the Chancellor's Office.
Award nominations for our Staff Award categories are now open and can be submitted by the "Nominate Here" link displayed under the four categories below.
Outstanding Service Award
The Outstanding Service Award is the highest award presented each year and recognizes a person who exemplifies the University of Denver’s mission.

Quality Department Award
The Quality Department Award honors the staff of a DU department for its outstanding service to the DU community.

Crimson & Gold Civic Engagement Award
The Crimson and Gold Award recognizes a DU employee who demonstrates outstanding commitment to and support of the University.

Staff Innovator Award
The Staff Innovator Award is given to a DU staff member who has demonstrated creativity and innovation in work that advances the University’s strategic plan.
