Communication Policy

Email is the standard method of communication used by our staff. All financial aid-related emails will be sent to your @du.edu address, so please be sure to monitor your DU email account regularly for important information, requests and notifications.

Once you are enrolled at DU, we can only send financial aid updates and notices to you, the student. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), your account will not be discussed with anyone else—including parents, guardians, family members and friends—unless you give us explicit information to speak with them. If you wish to release your student records, you must complete a Confidential Student Record Information Release. Find more information about FERPA on the Registrar's website.
