Anders Håkansson

Anders Håkansson is a professor of addiction medicine (since 2016) at the faculty of medicine of Lund University, Sweden. He is also a consultant physician (since 2015), specializing in psychiatry, at the clinical addiction center of Malmö, Sweden. In the clinical setting, he is the physician responsible for the regional gambling disorder treatment unit, one outpatient alcohol use disorder unit, and a treatment unit in sports psychiatry. Håkansson has a longstanding experience in clinical and epidemiological research focusing on drug and alcohol use disorders and behavioral addictive disorders such as gambling and gaming. He is frequently consulted by governmental and other national or regional evaluations of treatment guidelines and legislation related to drugs, alcohol or gambling.
