Updated Paid Holidays at DU

Dear DU community members,

I hope you are enjoying the fall term! Of course, the turn toward cooler weather signals the holiday season is just around the corner. As we look forward to spending time with friends and family, I am pleased to share that the University is now adding to our paid time-off schedule.

Each year, for many years, we have announced that the University would recognize a paid half-day after our annual holiday party. Starting this year, that paid half day will be formally added to our list of annual paid holidays. The holiday party and half day holiday will fall on Friday, December 16 this year. More information about the holiday party coming soon! Those who cannot (or choose not to) take this time off can work with their manager to use it at another time.

I am happy we can formally recognize this DU tradition, which gives us all some additional time to relax (or hustle and bustle!) during the busy holiday season.
