Update from University Planning Framework Task Forces
Dear DU Community,
As you are no doubt aware, the University Planning Framework for 2020–2021 has been hard at work planning for fall logistics, digital and online strategies, financial solutions and more. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many people, we are moving swiftly forward on our plan for living and learning on campus in the fall. Yesterday, colleagues and I answered questions in real time from more than 500 families about housing, delivery models for classes, and how we will keep our community safe. A recording of this event is available here.
As I shared in the May 18 announcement about the formation of the task forces, we will provide occasional updates about their work. Many of the task forces, working groups and subcommittees have now posted on the web, accessible from the Office of the Chancellor site here. Each task force has its own section, listing members, the task force charge, meeting minutes and reports to keep you up to date on their progress. By early next week, I will share a detailed update with the community about the state of the University’s finances and FY21 planning, based on the work of the Scenario and Financial Solutions Task Force and guidance from DU’s Board of Trustees who meet this Thursday and Friday, June 4 and 5.
As the spring term comes to a close, I thank you again for your patience, hard work and determination as we continue to move through some very challenging times in our country and world.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Haefner
Chancellor
