DU Community,

In response to the credible safety threat to Denver area K-12 schools issued by the FBI and using an abundance of caution, the University is going to lockout status today. This means faculty, staff and students must use their Pioneer ID card to access all buildings; specifically using doors with card readers.

For precaution, we will have an increased presence of Campus Safety officers on campus. We are also including the suspect photo released by the FBI; please call 911 if you see this individual.

We recognize this will be a difficult day and want to be thoughtful of Denver metro school closures. Employees responsible for the care of their dependents are permitted to remain home with them. Please discuss and make arrangements with your supervisor to work remotely to the extent possible.

We are in close communication with law enforcement authorities and will continue to update the DU community as more information becomes available.
