OmniUpdate sites remaining to launch
We have 18 sites remaining in the launch queue, with the Ricks Center for Gifted Children and Human Resources launching tomorrow (5/26). MarComm, in partnership with campus stakeholders, has launched 186 websites and 11,786 pages since Drupal’s initial go-live in September 2018.
Roadmap updates
As a reminder, the OmniUpdate hosting contract expires on June 30, 2022, as we continue to expediently migrate sites from OmniUpdate to Drupal. We anticipate all sites will launch through June and we have already reviewed live OU sites to start tying up loose ends in case we missed a site on our roadmap. We eagerly anticipate our upcoming launches will be complete in time for the OU expiration date and we genuinely thank our campus community for their cooperation and participation in this process.
The roadmap and site prioritization, targeted launch date summary, and weekly progress checklist can be found in PioneerWeb -> Website Governance.
Drupal updates
We have launched Drupal 9 as of Tuesday, May 10 with little fanfare. As a reminder, we continue to make updates to ensure the Drupal ecosystem functions properly. The web work group meets monthly to address web optimization and best practices. We have finalized a survey that will roll out to site editors and strategic decision makers this week in order to aid in the development of a needs analysis to create an optimization roadmap.
