Update on DU's web overhaul project for March 2022
We are proud to announce the launch of eight new sites over the past month including:
- Fisher Early Learning Center
- Student Affairs Veterans & Military Resources
- Student Affairs Access & Transitions
- Student Affairs Learning Effectiveness Program
- Student Affairs Inclusion & Equity Education
- Academic Affairs Core
- Academic Affairs First Year Seminar Program
- Academic Affairs Academic Advising
Sites remaining to launch
We have several sites queued up for launch over the next two weeks. A total of 44 sites remain in the launch queue, 24 of which are inline sites for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence. All 24 sites are scheduled to launch this month. MarComm, in partnership with campus stakeholders, launched 162 websites and 11,478 pages since Drupal’s initial go-live in September 2018.
Roadmap updates
As a reminder, the OmniUpdate (OU) hosting contract expires on June 30, 2022, and we continue to expediently migrate sites from OU to Drupal. We anticipate launching all sites in advance of that timeframe. We eagerly anticipate the launches of the remainder of the Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence and Academic Affairs inline sites along with the Ricks Center this month. All remaining sites will launch in April and through May/early June. We genuinely thank our campus community for their cooperation and participation in this process.
The roadmap and site prioritization, targeted launch date summary, and weekly progress checklist can be found in PioneerWeb -> Website Governance.
Drupal updates
As a reminder, we continue to make updates to ensure the Drupal ecosystem functions properly. The Web Work Group meets monthly to identify best practices and web optimization opportunities. The latest work we are exploring is conducting a needs analysis to create an optimization roadmap, developing a solution to address micro-credentials, and adding pronouns to Faculty Profiles.
