Announcement  •

Dear DU faculty & staff members,

Happy commencement week, and congratulations to those who celebrated commencement from the Sturm College of Law at the end of May! It is always moving to witness the well-earned culmination of years of effort—by our students and by the faculty and staff who support them throughout their educational journeys.

With an abundance of gratitude, I am pleased to share that this summer, the University of Denver will be closed on Friday, July 5 in addition to the national July 4 holiday. I hope this extended weekend allows for meaningful time to relax and connect with loved ones.

If you are an essential employee and required to work on July 5, please coordinate with your supervisor so that you may take another day away from work in lieu of July 5. Summer classes will also not be held over July 5.

I am deeply thankful to each of you for all you do every year and every day to make DU an exceptional place to learn and work.

Once again, happy commencement and wishing you all a great start to the summer term.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Haefner
