Two Finalists Selected for Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
Colleagues,
The University recently launched an internal search for a new position in the Office of the Provost for a Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs (VPFA). The VPFA will serve the University as a strategic partner and advisor on a range of issues pertaining to faculty, from recruitment and retention to retirement and career development, as well as cultivating academic leadership.
The search committee has selected two strong finalists who will each spend a full day on campus meeting with a variety of University stakeholders. Ryan Gildersleeve will be interviewing on May 15th and Kate Willink will be interviewing on May 17th.
Each candidate has been asked to give a job talk with time for Q&A at the end. All faculty members are invited to attend these talks which are scheduled for May 15th and May 17th in Anderson Academic Commons 301 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. If you cannot attend, the presentations will be recorded for later viewing.
Information on each candidate is available on Portfolio at http://portfolio.du.edu/VPFAsearch. You must log in with your DU credentials. Information on how to access the job talk videos will be provided on this site.
The search committee will be seeking feedback from individuals who attend the job talk or other elements of the interview. Information regarding how to provide feedback to the committee will be disseminated at those meetings.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Haefner, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor
