Thank You
Dear DU Community Members,
I would like to take a brief moment to extend my sincere gratitude to the community for your participation in inauguration week’s festivities, as well as the incredible Homecoming Weekend events. I hope you had the opportunity to enjoy the celebration but, if not, we will soon share a webpage with recordings of all the week’s events. Thanks, too, for your well wishes on my (at last!) official inauguration as your 19th chancellor. I am truly honored and humbled to serve in this role and alongside so many great and brilliant colleagues.
Putting together such ambitious programming takes a community—from coordinating logistics, event planning, marketing and promotion, facilities support, custodial services, dining services, IT support and emergency prevention and preparation.
My sincere gratitude to the divisions of Advancement, Campus Safety, Conferences and Special Events, COVID Coordination Team, Facilities Management and Planning, Human Resources and Inclusive Excellence, Information Technology, Marketing and Communications, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence and of course the staff members in the offices of the chancellor and provost. Thanks as well to the members of the inauguration committee and sub-committees. Finally, thanks to the cabinet members, deans, faculty members, and trustees who joined me in regalia for the procession and on stage.
I hope you, like me, are enjoying the turn to crisper, fall weather (off and on!) And I look forward to many more opportunities to come together to learn and celebrate DU and this outstanding community.
Thank you again and take care.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Haefner
Chancellor
