The University of Denver is excited to announce its third cohort of Public Impact Fellows. The program is a partnership between the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Division of Marketing and Communications. The fellowship program will give faculty access to training for disseminating scholarship and research to public venues including how best to utilize blogs, radio, television, op-eds and social media.

In fiscal year 2020, members of the first two cohorts of Public Impact Fellows participated in 88 interviews in local, national and international media outlets, and published a total of 19 op-eds. This represents at 70% increase in media placements over the previous year.

The members of the cohort will have their first training later this month and will meet regularly for group training workshops as well as individual consultations. Over the course of the academic year, there will be opportunities for the cohort to engage with members of the media, local politicians and University of Denver leadership.
