Faculty-Development Session Announcement
Dear Faculty,
Over the last academic year, the Chancellor and I have spent time listening to students and faculty discuss how we can support our community, both inside and outside of the classroom. During this time we heard about ways we could provide programming to enhance our academic spaces. As such, I invite you to a unique faculty-development session, next Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 1:30 – 4:00 p.m., in the Renaissance Room, Mary Reed Building.
Alongside the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and the Office of Teaching & Learning, the Provost’s Academic Diversity & Inclusion Committee will host an Affinity Arts Consulting team to engage with us in considering microaggressions in classrooms and work spaces. This will be a faculty-only workshop, aimed at helping us collectively explore how microaggressions impact our learning environments and we how we move toward creating inclusive classroom spaces.
For more information, please see this flyer and RSVP HERE.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Haefner
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor
