Dec. 24 added to holiday break for 2024

Dear DU faculty and staff members, 

I am pleased to share, this year, in addition to our coming annual holiday break from Dec. 25 – Jan. 1, the University will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24.  

It’s wonderful to be able to offer this additional day off to our employees, which will not require the use of PTO. In every school, unit and office, your dedication, passion and efforts are how we serve our students and provide an exceptional educational experience. Thank you.  

For essential staff who are scheduled to work on Dec. 24, work with your manager to take an alternate day off in honor of this closure. Please, everyone join me in thanking our essential staff members who often remain working on campus during days and times most of us are away. Their role is vital, often unseen, and deeply appreciated. More information about essential work can be found below. 

Finally, a reminder that the University will close at noon next Friday, Dec. 13 for our annual employee holiday party. I hope you can register and attend!
