Provost Jeremy Haefner announced that effective March 1, the University of Denver’s Conference & Events Services will align under the Office of the Chancellor, since the office supports University-wide events and programs. The office previously reported to the Provost.

“I am pleased by the stellar services, resources and support provided by Conference & Events Services and believe that this update to the University’s organizational structure will reflect the broad and comprehensive relationship this office already has with the campus community,” notes Provost Haefner. “Conference & Events Services does an excellent job in serving a wide range of faculty and campus units as well as external partners. I expect that this organizational update will support Conference & Events Services in continuing to excel in its role at the University. I look forward to continuing to serve as a resource, as well, for faculty and academic events.” The division will report to Nancy Nicely, Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff in the Chancellor's Office.

"We're thrilled to work more closely with the talented staff members in Conference & Events Services," said Nicely. "This provides even greater synergy between that division and Marketing and Communications, which frequently work hand in glove to create dynamic events at DU. I know the division is deeply committed to supporting academic and administrative divisions across campus."
