Coffee Hours recap, photos and a Save the Date for January
Thank you to all who joined us for Community Coffee Hours events over the last month. More than 400 students, faculty, staff and administrators came from across campus to enjoy burritos, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea while engaging in meaningful dialogue about their sense of belonging on and around campus.
DU community members were asked to participate in a heat map activity where they placed a pin on a map of DU answering the questions: Where do you feel the most sense of belonging on campus? Where do you feel a sense of community on campus?
Community members were given sticky notes with statements of “I appreciate you because…” and “You add value to DU because…” with an encouragement to write notes for their peers, faculty, or other members of the community.
Save the date for our next C+V event in the new year, a TED-style program that explores the question of how you would build and foster community in a new world. The event will be held on January 14th, from 2-3:30 p.m. in Maglione Hall.
