The purpose of this message is to clarify, as stated below, that all instruction and/or assessments scheduled for Monday, March 15, will move to an online format. As always, Ricks and Fisher will follow the Denver Public Schools’ operating status and will be closed on Monday.

All other normal business operations are cancelled for tomorrow.  The University will continue to monitor conditions and provide further updates if necessary.

The University of Denver’s physical campus and normal business operations will be closed Monday, March 15, 2021. Only essential employees are to report to work.

As always, the safety of our community is our top priority. Today's decision was made due to the continuing snowstorm, the blizzard warning issued recently by the city of Denver and the condition of campus.

Due to these conditions, all instruction and/or assessments scheduled for Monday, March 15, will move to an online format. As always, Ricks and Fisher will follow the Denver Public Schools’ operating status and will be closed on Monday.

Snow crews are focused on primary routes and those that will enable passage to the Community Commons for dining.

All other activities are canceled, with important exceptions noted below. Please make note of the following information:

Currently, the Ritchie Center is expected to open Monday at 9 a.m. For updated information on Ritchie Center operations, please visit ritchiecenter.du.edu.

The Community Commons will be open for dining, operating under normal hours.

There will be no shuttle operations on Monday.

For students in residential housing, please:

  • Close your windows as pipes could freeze and/or break, which could lead to leaks or floods.
  • Report concerns with pipes and/or leaks by contacting Campus Safety at 303-871-2334.
  • Reach out to the Housing Office at 303-871-2246 or housing@du.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
  • Call your RA on duty if you have an emergency.

If you are outside during the storm, please pay close attention to your surroundings and walk around campus carefully. The anticipated weather conditions will likely include slippery walkways and, potentially, falling branches and/or debris.

The University will continue to monitor conditions and provide further updates if necessary.

Sincerely,
