Allan Wilson named associate vice chancellor for facilities management

Dear DU community members,
 
I am very pleased to congratulate Allan Wilson, who will officially start his duties as our new associate vice chancellor for facilities management and planning effective March 1, 2022. Allan was selected from a very strong set of finalists for this important leadership role.
 

Allan has been an integral part of our DU community for almost 30 years. Starting as the director of recreation, moving up to the director of real estate & auxiliaries, and finally filling the role of interim associate vice chancellor for facilities management and planning, Allan’s legacy knowledge of DU will be crucial as we look toward the future of facilities on our great campus. Allan has experience and expertise in workforce management, contract negotiations, project management, team building, financial analysis, and more. Allan has already brought numerous energy efficiency initiatives to DU, including securing a grant to convert major elements of the campus fleet to natural gas. We are so excited to see our sustainability goals advance under his leadership.  

My sincere thanks go to Chad King and Ryan Buller, who so ably co-chaired the search, and the entire search committee (listed below) for its very thoughtful work in conducting a successful national search using best practices and an approach defined by transparency, diversity and fairness. The finalist pool for this position was strong and the committee was diligent in determining the best person for this important position.
