The photograph below was taken from the country road running along the Ludlow strikers' colony. It shows the layout of the tents in the strikers' colony. The strikers named the row of tents facing the county road "Front Street." This label acknowledged the ability of this space to promote an image to visitors and passersby. The positioning of tents was at a 45 degree angle off of the road. This angle meant that only the tents at the perimeter were visible to outsiders concealing any private activities occurring in the tent colony.
