Children

The inhabitants of the Ludlow strikers' colony were more than just miners. They were mostly young families. Children were an active and visual population in the colony. They participated in holiday celebrations, dinners, and other union activities. The presence of children in union photographs helped the strikers' cause by showing the public the struggle was more than an industrial conflict; it was a struggle for the development of communities in industrial settlements.
