Accessing Voice Mail From Outside your Office
- Call 303-871-5050 (15050 on campus)
- Press # to access your mailbox at the voice prompt.
- Enter your 5-digit mailbox number and # when prompted for your "ID".
- Enter your PIN, followed by #.
- Follow the prompts to listen to, delete and save messages.
Checking your Voicemail through the web interface while on the DU network
*If you are off-campus, you will have to connect through VPN first
- Navigate in a browser to: https://go.du.edu/myvoicemail
- Log in using your [Firstname.Lastname] and DU password
You can play your messages by clicking on the play icon next to each message in the list.
You must have a HTML5 enabled browser and QuickTime plugin installed for this to work (Firefox recommended).
*If you are off-campus, you will have to connect through VPN first
- Navigate in a browser to: http://go.du.edu/myphone.
- Log in using your [Firstname.Lastname] and DU password.
- On the Phones page (default page upon login), click on Call Forwarding in the left navigation.
- Click on the checkbox next to “Forward all calls to:” and enter the remote phone number in the input box.
*Forwarding to an off-campus number: If you are entering an off-campus phone number, include a “9” in front of the number to designate the forwarded number as an off-campus number.
Ex: 93035556789
*Forwarding to a long distance number: If you are entering a long distance number, include “91” in front of the number to designate the forwarded number as an off-campus long distance number.
Ex: 913125556789 - Click Save.
- Only DU employees should use this equipment.

- Antivirus software must be installed. CrowdStrike is available for use on work computers for faculty, staff and students.
- Use secure practices for storing work files by using Office365 applications (OneDrive, Teams), your Zephyr drive or departmental file shares.
- Use your official DU email account when sending work emails.
- Use DU’s secure email feature when sending any emails with confidential information such as student information, employee information, or financial information by simply beginning the Subject Line with the words DU Confidential.
You can use Teams in your web browser, download the desktop app, or install it on your phone. Be sure to sign in with your DU email and password.

Like most public forums, it’s possible to have a person (who may or may not be invited) disrupt an event that’s meant to bring people together. Zoom-bombing, the phenomenon of trolls intruding into other people's meetings for the sole purpose of harassing attendees has become more prevalent recently.

A regular Zoom meeting can be set up and the meeting link can be distributed to the class or meeting. You can schedule a recurring meeting in daily, weekly, and monthly increments.

Zoom Virtual Waiting Rooms is one of the best ways to protect your Zoom virtual classroom by giving you control over who can join your class and when. The virtual Waiting Room can be enabled for every class (in your settings) or for individual classes at the scheduling level. - Internet Essentials Free to New Customers: Speeds will increase to 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream for all new and existing customers. The Internet Essentials program is normally available to all qualified low-income households in Comcast’s service area for $9.95/month.
- Xfinity Wi-Fi Hotspots Free for Everyone: Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/Wi-Fi. Once at a hotspot, select the “xfinityWi-Fi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser to connect.
