Leaves of Absence

The University’s Vacation/Leave of Absence Policy, HRIC 3.30.010, sets forth the various categories of paid and unpaid leave offered to University employees and the eligibility requirements for such categories. 

Types of Leave include the following, although not all employees are eligible for all forms of leave:

• • Vacation Leave
  • Sick Leave
  • Bereavement Leave
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Healthy Families and Workplaces Act Leave (Colorado only)
  • Family care and medical leave (FMLA, Colorado FAMLI)
  • Statutory Leave
  • Discretionary Leave
