University Protection and Gender Identity
University policy, as well as Colorado and Denver law, protects all genuine expressions of someone’s gender identity. For other cities and states’ laws, visit www.hrc.org/resources/state-equality-index.
The University prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, gender expression, and other protected status in its educational and employment programs and activities.
If you have experienced discrimination, harassment, or gender-based violence, we encourage you to report all incidents and suspected incidents directly to the Office of Equal Opportunity & Title IX by filling out the Incident Report Form at their website: www.du.edu/equalopportunity. Members of the EOIX staff will review your report, and contact you to follow up with resources, process options, etc.
DU’s full Equal Opportunity & Title IX policy and procedures are at www.du.edu/equalopportunity/policies-procedure.
Beyond not discriminating, the University also affirmatively commits to include all peoples. Visit the University’s central diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) portal at https://www.du.edu/equity.
