Former fashion columnist Catherine Underhill Fitzpatrick presents an intriguing exploration of inaugural wardrobes, showing how—and why—the inaugural wardrobes of first families from the Washingtons to the Bidens speak volumes about America’s presidents and first ladies, the times in which they lived and the nation they represent.
