Colorado Collaborative Leadership Institute with VRNLI 2012-present

Colorado's natural resources are facing increasing pressures from changing climate conditions, population growth, and natural disasters such as flooding and wildfire. These pressures makes it difficult for community leaders and natural resources managers to protect and manage such resources, especially when competing interests are considered. In an effort to increase collaboration among practitioners to deal with these issues in more productive and efficient ways, the CRI and other regional universities are implementing a process similar to the successful Virginia Natural Resource Leadership Institute (VRNLI) model in hosting workshops emphasizing collaborative capacity and professional network expansion and on Colorado's Front Range.
