Catch the Phish!
Did you catch me? Sincerely, the Phish
Hello, wannabe anglers!
Did you miss us? We’re back with another round of phish fun for you this winter quarter! Remember the fun we had together last year? Dog phish and quizzes and prizes, oh my! If you had fun last year, hold on to your fins, because this year is going to be even better. We have phishing games, phishing contests, phishing quizzes, and who knows? Our dog phish might even make another appearance, but you’ll have to stay vigilant to find out!
What is Catch a Phish, some of you might ask? If you are new to DU this year, here’s the scoop. An invasion of dangerous phish is roaming about DU’s Denver campus. This species, capable of causing great harm to individuals and the entire DU population, is running wild. It is up to the brave individuals of DU – from employees to students – to rid DU’s campus of the great western phish.
Your first challenge, should you choose to accept it, is a little quiz sure to make a splash and measure your understanding of cybersecurity. Valentine’s Day may be over, but there’s still some phishy phlattery to be had at the University of Denver.
So, if you’re phishing for compliments, take our cybersecurity quiz (hint: study up on DUO notifications) this week. Every participant will get a small ego boost in the form of phishy phlattery, and you’ll also be entered into a prize pool that includes Starbucks vouchers, Newman Center tickets, more phish-themed prizes than you can shake a rod at, and more!
You’ll also be automatically signed up for our Angler’s Club, where you’ll receive special cybersecurity tips, sneak peeks at upcoming events (like the possible return of the dog phish to campus?) and a chance to win even more prizes.
Catch you soon (not if you catch us first, right?)
~The DU Phish
