Professional Biography
Lavita Nadkarni, PhD. is the Director of Forensic Studies, and Professor at the DU's Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP), teaching graduate level students and supervising doctoral and postdoctoral students conducting forensic assessments for those who are legally involved and underserved. She has been teaching and mentoring graduate students for over twenty years. She has program evaluation experience with correctional and legally encumbered individuals and programs. Dr. Nadkarni is the Associate Editor for Professional Psychology: Research and Practice. Dr. Nadkarni is an active member of the American Psychology-Law Society, the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology and has held leadership positions within these organizations. She will use her academic, professional, and leadership roles to promote the IUR in national psychological communities and continue to mentor graduates promoting the continuity of care for marginalized individuals.
