Professional Biography
I grew up in a military family and had the great fortune to attend school in Hawaii, Texas, and Colorado. I then spent my senior year of high school studying in Germany with the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange program. I came to the University of Denver because I knew I wanted to study abroad again and DU provided so many incredible opportunities to see the world. After graduating in 2009 with a B.A. in German and International Studies, I decided to enroll in graduate school. I completed a doctoral program in Germanic Studies at Indiana University and taught German in the college classroom for nearly ten years before returning to the Mile High City. If you're out and about in Denver, you might run into me at a Rapids game or a live comedy show. I also enjoy running, exploring the Denver Mountain Parks, trying new restaurants and bakeries, and filling my house with plants.
I am thrilled to be back at DU, supporting students through the college search process, and helping them navigate incredible opportunities of their own. My advice: When you're deciding which college is the right fit for you, remember that you're not only choosing an academic experience, you're choosing a place to call home; be sure to consider location and community.
