Grant Preheim

A native of South Dakota, I left The Mount Rushmore State to attend Luther College in Decorah, IA where I earned a B.A. in Communication Studies and a minor in music, while also competing for the track and field team. My passion for higher education was sparked by my experiences as a first-generation college student, which led me to receive a M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and a graduate certificate in Professional Workplace Communication from the University of Kansas.

I was drawn to the University of Denver for the high-caliber academics, supportive community, and location. DU is a vibrant place that allows you to challenge yourself and prepare you for your future ambitions. I believe college is a place where you should have the capacity to wholeheartedly pursue all your passions, and I advise prospective students to find the campus that will allow them that opportunity. When I am away from campus, you can find me running the local trails, attending concerts, and searching for the new coffee shops and bakeries.
