D.U. Women's Faculty Association
The D.U. Women's Faculty Association was reactivated in 1997. Membership is open to all women faculty, including those not on the tenure track. The purpose of the organization is to provide a support network to all women, including women of color, in the campus community, to sponsor programs concerned with the professional development of women faculty, and to disseminate information about University practice and policy vital to our interests.

Undergraduate Women's Council
The Undergraduate Women's Council, a fairly new organization on campus, was started in the Spring of 1997. Like many other universities across the nation, the University of Denver has tried to address the many issues that face college women during their undergraduate careers. The women here at DU have started the Undergraduate Women's Council in an attempt to provide a medium for discussion and support in the areas that immediately affect women. This organization is still in the beginning stages, but we want all female students to be a part of its formation and future direction.

Graduate Women's Council
The Graduate Women's Council is an organization dedicated to positively affecting the D.U. community as a whole, and particularly the educational experience of its graduate women.  Many graduate women, who are often isolated within their departments and disconnected from other graduate women in the D.U. community at large, have begun to nurture connections and relationships through the Graduate Women's Council.

Women Advocating Change (WAC)
WAC welcomes all mid level managers and leaders at the University of Denver.  In meetings over the last several months, we have discussed issues important to women who find themselves in the middle of their lives and careers:

Women's Leadership Council
In order to create a stronger and more effective women's leadership presence at the University of Denver, the Women's Leadership Council (WLC) will include women serving on the Dean's Council, in the Provost's Office, in executive roles or positions of University wide responsibility.  The WLC would like to use its influence (individually and collectively) toward an organizational culture at DU characterized by open, shared, and understood information; clear and predictable decision making processes; and alignment of human talent and energy with organizational purpose and mission.  We have particular concerns with issues of equity, including gender equity, and we will therefore use the WLC as a vehicle for growth and learning, for developing greater effectiveness as leaders, and for support of women throughout the University.
