Data storage planning involves identifying where personally identifiable information (PII) can be stored securely while following HIPAA, FERPA, NIST, GDPR and other data protection regulations. Additional rules for research data storage are established by the campus Institutional Review Board.
Currently, centrally managed data storage available for DU faculty includes:
- Zephyr home folder
- network share
- REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) project
- Microsoft OneDrive (which is part of Office365)
