But it's the 60,000 works of art inside the museum that keep Denverites talking. The museum's design collection showcases everything from nifty typewriters to teapots. In addition, DAM has the largest and most comprehensive collection of world art between Kansas City and the West Coast.

Denver Center for Performing Arts

Denver Center for the Performing Arts

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts' many venues host everything from Broadway touring productions to plays by the Tony Award-winning resident theater company. The Colorado Symphony, the Colorado Ballet and Opera Colorado all stage productions at DCPA venues. The Theatre Cafe provides the perfect spot for a pre-show appetizer or a post-show dessert.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Whether you're hanging out with an Egyptian mummy or a stegosaurus, the new faces you encounter at the Museum of Nature & Science are actually pretty old. Permanent installations include "Prehistoric Journey," which traces the evolution of life on Earth from single-celled organisms to hulking dinosaurs. An IMAX theater and high-tech planetarium shows ensure that a day at the museum is never dull.

Denver Zoo

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Not to mention pachyderms, primates and predators. Four thousand new friends many of them four-legged, feathered or furry await you at the Denver Zoo. The zoo's family-friendly environment means new baby animals are often on hand to greet you.
