Galleries at DU

DU's Myhren Gallery showcases both student and professional artwork.
The Victoria H. Myhren Gallery changes exhibits constantly, showcasing everything from sculpture to tapestries to multimedia pieces. Each spring the gallery displays the final projects of graduating BFA students.
Housed in the Shwayder Art Building, the gallery also hosts exhibits of work by prominent artists from across the globe. In the last year alone, the DU community explored "DIASPORA: Celebrating the Diversity of Jewish Art and Culture Around the World," and "Chimera," Minnette Vari's video installation about post-apartheid South Africa.
To see what students are producing in art class, look no further than the lobby in the Shwayder Art Building, which reserves its informal space just for students. Exhibitions are curated to highlight the diverse and innovative work by DU's talent pool.
At Gallery 023, students do all the work. They propose, curate and hang the exhibits—everything from ceramic mushroom teapots to photographs chronicling a car accident.
