The Challenge to Inspire. Our Obligation to Innovate.
The Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver has been long recognized for its innovative community partnerships and emphasis on faculty-student collaboration. With a lead gift of $10 million, Carrie and John Morgridge have initiated the campaign focused on capital, endowment and current programs.
In addition to devoting funding to a new facility, their support established the Reading Recovery University Training Center, to be housed in the Institute for Early Learning and Literacy. In recognition of their generosity, the College has been named in their honor.
Joan and Mike Ruffatto committed $5 million toward the construction of the building to house the College as well as DU's Learning Effectiveness Program. The building will be named Katherine A. Ruffatto Hall, after the donors' daughter and DU alumna.
The campaign has a $35 million goal with $25 million designated for the new building and $10 million for the College's endowment.

The campaign for the Morgridge College of Education is well under way. Two generous donors, the Morgridges and the Ruffattos, each made $10 million and $5 million gifts that launched the campaign. Thanks to these lead gifts and other dedicated alumni and friends, we have raised $27.3 million towards our campaign goal of $35 million.
