Benefits of support include a newsletter, advance program notification, and special admission rates.
MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR, DAVID SHNEER:
Help Us Continue to Bring the Highest Level of Jewish Education to Denver…
As we bid goodbye to Amichai Lau Lavie, our first long term visiting artist in residence at the Center, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for your support. If you believe in the highest level of Jewish education, you should be supporting the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver.
This fall brought some of the most innovative and cutting edge performers, artists and educators to the Denver-Boulder region. Amichai’s visit, along with Peter Cole’s transformative presentation of medieval Jewish poetry, and Ari Kelman’s fantastic work on Yiddish literature has put the University of Denver on the map as a center for innovative Jewish education and culture.
The Center receives only one third of its operating budget from the university. The rest comes from supporters like you.
This year’s project, Shema: What Jewish Culture Sounds Like , has a budget of $132,000. Thanks to the vision of Rose Community Foundation, we have already met more than half of that goal. Please help us insure that we can meet our entire budget and continue to bring the highest level of Jewish education to Denver by giving us your support.
Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav once said, “Money to support Torah is Torah itself.” Those of you supporting our work are creating Torah, are helping us turn Denver-Boulder into one of the nation’s leading centers of Jewish education and culture.
WE CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU…
